DualShock 4: Dualshock 4 went insane, presses buttons

Hello, so Yesterday I was playing on my ps4 and got a "DS4 disconnected. Charge the battery." message. Plugged the controller in and continued playing, but after 1-2 minutes it stopped responding, kept sending my old button presses and then disconnected with the "Charge the battery" message. While being plugged in. Since then, the controller is unresponsive while unplugged, no lights or any response, and only turns on when it's connected to an outlet or the ps4. When it turns on it spams the Share button, DPAD-right and the PS button, while also sending any button combination that I press. Disconnecting the controller switches it off. Just disassembled it, there's no visible damage to any of the components and contacts. It is a gen 1 controller, motherboard JDM-001. Also tried connecting it without the battery, produced the same result- insanity when plugged in, nothing when not. Please help me find a solution

DualShock 4: Why is my PS4 controller not charging/getting warm while plugged in?

Both of my PS4 controllers started doing this on the same day. The LED lights up intermittently, but shuts off shortly after plugging it in unlike what it used to do while charging. I changed the batteries in both of the controllers and they worked until the batteries needed charging, then I was back to where I started. Another thing is when I push the PS button on the controller when it shows the battery status on the screen it shows up as a question mark. I have also tried changing out the charging port circuit card and ribbon cable, but then the LED would only blink red one time and then I would get nothing. The controller works if it remains plugged into a power source, but it starts to get warm after a while. Any help would be appreciated. I want to make sure that whatever caused this does not happen again if I get a new controller. I find it strange that it happened to both controllers on the same day. Thank you.

DualShock 4: orange pulse no repsonse from controller

i think my controller got water damage (thanks to my 2 year old). there was just a little bit of water near/in the charging port while it was charging. It didnt leak out water or anything. I have not seen anyone post anything similar to what it does. If i try to charge it, it glows orange for about a second and stops. it is unresponsive after. when you press the ps button nothing happens, not even from the light. it will only glow once until you disconnect the charger. Once you reconnect it will glow again. the factory reset button does not work and nothing i do will get it to work or connect to the ps4. is it the battery? or am i out of luck and have to buy a whole new controller? i dont have the money for a new one right now. thank you!

DualShock 4: PS4 Controller not charging

My controller was fully functional until a month ago more or less when was the last time I used it, then it remained stored in my PS4 suitecase, then two nights ago I plugged it on my cell phone charger (Android, output 5V 1800 mA), I saw the orange light going on, so I turned around and went to sleep, the next morning I went to my friend's house and I gave him my controller so he could sync it with his PS4 but it didn't recognize it, so we thought his cable was the problem, when he tried with his controller, it charged it but not on mine, so I returned to my place, turned on my PS4 to find out my battery was almost dead, so I took it apart to check what the problem might be, to do so, I also took apart my another controller, replace the battery from one to another and both batteries charged in the good controller but neither in the defective one, so I discarded the battery problem, then I interchange the back part of the controllers (The one with the USB port with the ribbon cable on it) and to my surprise none of the controllers charged, when putting them back, again one controller was charging and the other one wasn't, so I'm not sure if my problem is in the USB board or my mother board, I hope someone can help me out with this issue since I've no money for a new controller. Ahh by the way the deffective controller is the camouflage edition (Gray and white) regards.

DualShock 4: L2 and R2 /buttons 7 and 8 stuck after cleaning

Hi guys, I had a rather trashy looking but fully functional dualshock 4 - so I ordered a new shell, buttons, ribbon cable, etc from ebay to rebuild it. Basically everything is brand new except for the battery, motherboard, and usb board. Upon reassembly the controller works fine in the PS4 menus, but not at all in game, which lead me to suspect a stuck button. I plugged the controller into a windows 7 PC to test it, and in the controller settings *(where you test the joysticks and button assignments) it is saying buttons 7 and 8 are constantly pressed (L2 and R2 triggers) but the triggers respond OK on the analog testing axis. So while it appears the buttons are stuck, they aren't. any ideas? everything in the controller is new - new conductive film, new buttons, new rubber membranes, new shell, etc so I know it isn't a case of a dirty pad or contact. the L2/R2 springs are new as well, and everything feels like it is installed correctly.

I had stick drift on one of my Ds4 v2 contoller (JDM-055), i decided to replace it with hall effect sticks, when i tried to desolder 1 pin had trouble coming loose, 1 of the big pins from module, i kept reapplying solder and desoldering with pump, i finally tried to pry the other loose pins, they all came loose except this one last pin, i treid to heat it again, it came off, but the circular ring on the pcb which touches the vias came off during last heating, i didnt see any traces from this pin, so i continued with replacement, replaced everything, but accidentally when adjusting my pcb holder, the plastic which has the battery pin connector came loose, it was still connected to pcb on the soldered part, but the plastic side kinda came loose, i tried applying hot glue and secured it, assembled everything and tried turning on, i got no power, so i connected back panel too to check power while wired, still no power, controller appears dead. Is it because of the loose battery pin or the burnt pcb pad

DualShock 4: PS4 still has stick drift after joystick module replacement

Help! I have changed both the joystick modules on my ps4 controller, I got the modules from eBay. It all works but it appears that the drift is still there which is completely bizarre.

I did find a calibration tool online that I thought had worked but when you unplug and plug the controller back in and check gamepad tester the drift is still there, I’m not certain the drift is exactly the same as it was before with the old joysticks but I’ve got my suspicions that it is.

DualShock 4: My ps4 controller turns on itself without pressing the ps button

This happened a few days ago, my controller stopped turning on manually when I press the ps button, even when I connect it using a USB to the console it lights orange but when you press the ps button it doesn't turn on. Worst of all it keeps turning on itself then when you log it in to a user it says battery low and it disconnects and after a period of 4 minutes it keeps turning on itself and goes off over and over again, so what could be the problem?

DualShock 4: Home-Button not working

Hey,

I recently replaced the battery in my controller as well as the conductive silicone pads for the button inputs.
When I connect the controller to my PC via cable, it powers on normally, connects successfully, and all buttons work in the Gamepad Tester—except for the Home button.

I’ve already tried resetting the controller multiple times using the button on the back, but it didn’t help.

Is there anything else I can try or check?
