Canon PowerShot S500: PowerShot digital camera lens won't extend - get an E18 error

when I try to power on my Canon PowerShot digital camera, the lens tries to extend but gets stuck

Instead, the camera just beeps a few times, then displays "E18" on the LCD. the problem remains even if I take out the battery and try again. so the camera doesn't work - it won't let me take pictures anymore.

is my camera now junk? or can I repair it myself, or do I need to send it somewhere for repair?

Sony NEX-7: Viewfinder and LCD not working.

Viewfinder went black, LCD OK. I went to Settings, switched to Viewfinder only. Now neither works and I am blind to the menus.

Anyway to reset manually?

Or pls suggest a next step.

hi,

so my Coolpix b500 (they didn't have that in option) isn't shutting off properly, when i shut it off the green light still is on and the battery's die soo fast! (I use lithium) I have check every setting and have looked on the internet but I cant figure out how to fix it!

please help!!

gopro hero 6: The touch screen doesn’t turns on (black).

The GoPro 6 Hero Black turns on, makes videos and photos. But always with the touch screen black. It has last firmware. I’ve turn it off and on with and with out the battery and the SD memory card.

Canon EOS Rebel XS: Camera won't take photo when shutter button is pushed

All other features of the camera seem to be operating just fine. Shutter release button doesn't appear damaged, but will not respond to being pushed to take a photo. I was able to take ONE photo when applying DEEP pressure to the button, but don't want to cause further damage. Help!!

Sony Alpha ILCE-6000: Why won't the camera recognize the lens?

My camera sends a message that it cannot recognize my regular lens and to reconnect it. This worked the first few times that I got this message, but then it stopped recognizing the lens altogether. The camera DOES recognize my zoom lens and I have no issues taking pictures with the zoom in place.
