CD Player: Why does my cd player sends back a "no disc" message?

I have a Bose Wave radio and single CD player. This is an AM/FM radio with a single cd player on top, the kind with a remote. I have tried cleaning both the cd and the cd lens. I swabbed the lens with rubbing alcohol and blew the dust out with cold air from my blow dryer. (I'm out of canned air.) The player turns on and the radio works fine, but every cd spins for a moment and then gets the "no disc" rejection. I can't find out much information anywhere else. I have tried multiple discs and different outlets, as per suggestions on other sites.

Yamaha CD-S300: Unsupport message on Yamaha CD-S300 CD player

My Yamaha CD-S300 CD player is showing UNSUPPORT on the display whenever I put a CD in. It seems to display LOADING for a bit longer than usual and then goes to the UNSUPPORT message and won’t play the CD. I can’t hear any noise so I’m assuming that the disc is not spinning. Switching to the USB mode and then back to the CD mode doesn’t work - it then displays NO DISC. If I then eject the disc and put it back in again I get the UNSUPPORT message again. I have tried several different discs and got the same result. In desperation I even tried turning the player off and on again! (Didn’t help.)

Sony Radio CD player and cassette player CFD-S05: The speakers no longer produce any sound

I have this problem too. It was purchased in late 2012. Has less than 30 hours play time on it. Has not been mistreated or even rarely moved around. Played fine in January 2022. Sat for a few months unused. In May the speakers no longer produce any sound. Power, CD, cassette, FM all work fine. No sound through headphone jack. Where is the IC amp (on the circuit board?) and what does it look like? Are there instructions on where to buy one and how to change it out? I see how to take the player apart on in internet but that's it. Help me Obwan, you're my only hope! In other words, it would cost more to send it out, pay to get it fixed and returned than the unit cost new originally.

CD Player: CD Player won't read any discs

I have an Aiwa model CSD-FD91U boombox. It was made in September of 2000 according to the sticker on the back. Recently, it hasn't played CDs I put in it. The player still plays tapes well, the radio still works, and the speakers sound great, but I cannot get compact discs to play. Every time I close the lid, the disc tries to spin up, and the laser "eye" moves around a little inside the player. After a second it stops again, and then starts. It does this a few times, then stops finally without playing anything. On the screen, it flashes "1" like it's trying to play track one on the disc but when it can't it goes back to saying the default 0 tracks and 00:00. It acts exactly the same way whether a disc is inserted or not, so I think it's not recognizing the disc. I tried polishing the lens, but that didn't do anything. I read some guides and stuff in other places online and it looked like either the motor or the laser failed, based on what people were saying about their problems, but I could use some help ascertaining whether that is true for my case.

Pioneer PD-7500: The disc drawer is not opening. How to fix it?

One day, I inserted the CD to the player and the display showed that there was no disc inserted. I tried to eject the disc, but the drawer did not open. It had suddenly stopped working after playing three discs and gave no sign: I heard nothing strange from the player after inserting the last disc. It was just sitting there.

First, I had to figure out, how to get the disc back from the player, so I took the service manual, disconnected the power and unplugged the power cable. (This is a laser product, so one has to be very careful and always have the laser covered when the power has been turned on.)

Image 1: It was easy to get the disc back from the player: after opening the device, lifting the two plastic tumblers on the right side to the left, allowed the removal of the upper part of the inside part of the drawer.

Image 2: Lifting the drawer outside manually was not possible in a similar manner than doing so for the PC disc drives: there was no small hole on the front panel of the drawer. But anyway, on the left hand side of the player, I felt the gearwheel and I was able to move it with my left hand. (It is not visible on the image.) One needs to move it only a little bit. After the drawer unlocks, it can be gently pushed by a hand.

Image 3: After doing so, the belt and white part of the mechanism became visible. The belt of the motor was firmly on the place, so it was not causing the problem.

Image 4: I decided to upload one more image showing the locking tap and a smaller gearwheel. The drawer can be only lifted to the place if the white part of the mechanism has been pushed back and the locking tap is facing the groove on the drawer.

I added some lubricant, but it did not made the drawer functioning normally. What should I try next, or could it be possible that the motor itself is broken?

Thank you.
