Magic Mouse: What can I use to stick back together the mouse?

I disassembled the mouse to fix the bent aluminum from dropping it and it works, but sticking the bottom part to the plastic battery tray is hard. What is strong enough to hold the plastic and alunium together?

Magic Mouse: My mouse doesn't track smoothly

I have a Mac mini Late 2012 Processor 2.5 GHz Intel Core I5 with 12 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Memory.

My question (problem) is that my Magic Mouse doesn't track smoothly. When moving the mouse at first nothing happens then the pointer will jump to catchup with where the mouse is, however once it catches up with the mouse movement it doesn't keep up. It will stop and start.

I know that it isn't the platform or the software because I have a second Magic Mouse and when I changed to the second mouse everything is Okay.

Any Ideas?

Magic Mouse 2: connected and indicates its charging, HOWEVER, it's not charging?

I connect my Magic Mouse 2 either, into my Macbook or powerbrick, with the switch in the on position to initiate charging, my Mac indicates it is charging by displaying a battery with a lightning bolt. However, the battery percentage does not increase. My mouse is 2+/- years old and I bought it directly from my local Apple store. Everywhere on the interwebs tells me to "unplug it and replug it", "unpair the device", and " try turning it off and then on again" but these are CRAPPY suggestions and those people are idiots.

Is my battery farcooked? is it worth me replacing it? or should I just switch to a better non Apple wireless mouse???

When I switch on the Magic Mouse 2... on screen says "Mouse Connected". Few seconds later, on the screen says:" Connection Lost" I'm thinking about the battery of the mouse( 2 years now, non stop working). But the battery is a common on. Thank you in advance for your help. Panagiotis Badalakis

When you connect a Magic Trackpad 2 to MacBook, There is an option in trackpad settings in MacBook that allows for silent click. The intensity of click is still the same, but it is silent. Just blown away by how Apple does this. Has anyone taken apart a Magic Trackpad 2 and seen how this works?

it stop working because of the batteries. they go fast, so i bought rechargeable batteries and once they were fully charge ( i switched to the keyboard to be sure) i placed them on the Magic Tracktad, it does click but doesn't move the pointer-

it is a software issue or just simple a hardware malfunction?

Hi all,

I was using my Magic Mouse from years and, from one day to another, it stopped moving smoothly. The mouse pointer is jiggling in such a way that it's unusable. (Clicking and swiping work well). The batteries are not low and even replacing them with fresh ones didn't change this strange behavior. The optical lens seems to be clean and nothing particular happened to my mouse to give it a reason for this. The most weird thing is that it worked flawlessly since yesterday. Does anyone have any idea on what might have happened to my Magic Mouse? Thanks to everyone who can give me some tips.

Magic Trackpad 2: Magic Trackpad Power Switch Works but Does Not Snap When Slid

I’ve got a Magic Trackpad that is almost 8 years old but in great shape, and the Power Switch recently stopped snapping when toggling between on and off. (It seems to power on/off just fine, but the switch just moves freely from side to side with no resistance.) I’d like to know what may be wrong with mine, and if it can still be toggled on/off without causing further damage.

I found the below article on iFixit to figure it out myself, but am not sure how/if the author can be contacted to get more insight, so I posted here.

I have studied the attached pictures showing the green prong that is attached to the Power Switch, as well as the chip shown to contain whatever trigger is used for powering on/off, to determine what may cause the resistance the switch used to have both ways. However, the image resolution makes it difficult to see how parts interact with each other to power on/off. Does anyone know?

Magic Mouse 2: Magic Mouse 2: Right-click not working after contact with liquid.

A glass of juice spilled some liquid on the Magic Mouse 2. Since then the right-click does not work anymore. The mouse connects to the mac, left-click and scrolling is working, but not the right-click. I also tried turned right-click off and on in system settings. Context menus pop up when putting them on the left-button, so I'm sure it's the hardware, not something in MacOS. I opened the mouse following the battery exchange guide and cleaned a little dust out. Couldn't see anything indicating a damage or liquid remains, sticky parts, corrosion etc. Closed it, no change. Any idea what I could try or do I have to throw it away? The mouse is useless without right-click for me.

Hi everyone,

I am keen on the reusing/recycling principle so I am considering purchasing a second hand trackpad that has its glass shattered and wanted to know the type of glass I should be looking for in order to replace it. I’ve already seen that Apple does not offer spare parts for the trackpad, but I’d look elsewhere for this. I was wondering if anyone has any info about the type of glass used in a Magic Trackpad 2 as I could not find anything online.

I have a magic mouse that came along with my Mid 2010 iMac 27". The mouse still responds to finger movement while scrolling and clicking. Although, the movement of the cursor completely stopped working. I've already opened the mouse to if there was anything lose in it, I couldn't find it. I've cleaned the optical area, and the whole mouse. Still, no luck. Anyone has a fix for this? Thank you!

Magic Trackpad 2: How to remove lightning connector that broke off in lightning port

Hi,

The lightning connector from the cable broke off and is now stuck in the lightning port on my trackpad 2 so of course i can't insert a new lightning cable to charge this anymore.

Other than taking this apart, does anyone have ideas on how i can remove the broken off lightning tip?

Hi, I replaced the batteries in my trackpad and it won't switch on now. I may not have switched it off before opening the battery compartment but not sure.
