I had 2 LCD's go white screen after I tried replacing a cracked screen. I believe my problem was that I did not power down the IPOD Touch properly before I installed the new LCD. Damage to the LCD and Digitizer occurred when power was still present while connecting the new LCD. After letting the power completely drain from the IPOD Touch, I installed a new LCD/Digitizer and this solved my problem. Make sure you power down (hold the power button and swipe to power off) your IPOD Touch before removing and installing a new LCD/Digitizer.
