+An online fuse with very small limited - 2.5A which means the manufacturer did not want more current than this going into the fan PC board because I guess they didn't design it to handle more though they apparently also allow more to be "drawn" into the unit at least momentarily and then you have a paper weight for a fan because the manufacturer did not create a way to change the fuse..... as you can see in the torn apart plug in these pictures. The fuse is permanently molded into the plug with no provision for knowing if the fuse "blew" or replacing it. ( Very poor desgin from my POV ).
