new laptop but power button is not working properly
Testo:
Hello.[br]
I recently bought this brand new ASUS laptop based on the 7940 chip from AMD.[br]
My first real investment in a laptop after a lot of carefull research. I am super happy about it but from the first day I noticed that it didnt want to start right away.[br]
I thought maybe it was a matter of memory training or something of the sort but sadly after 5 months of use i now know for a fact that its the power button.[br]
The bios is very basic on this model so there is no alternative way to power it up and it can take several minutes of pressing in different ways, including jiggleing it until it powers up. I googled and found out that this is apparently common on TUF models of ASUS laptops. Sadly I bought this laptop in my country of origin but I live in another country. This means that I wont travel back anytime soon so that I can solve it through warranty.[br]
[br]
My question is if anyone has encountered this issue and actually know of the solution to it. Im hoping that its a matter of a cable that just needs to be set better and nothing more serious.[br]
Thank you in advance![br]
[br]
Sincerely,[br]
Danijel
