-The display panel its self has a collection of thin contacts along the bottom edge. What can happen is during the manufacturing process one of the connector breaks free we call this a TAB error. If its more than one line it could be the Chin plat at the bottom of the display got smashed in so one of the glass shards cut the ribbon cable.

Sadly, you will need a new display assembly to fix it or just live with it. I would visit an Apple Store if you still have warranty coverage or enrolled in AppleCare as that would be a free repair. Otherwise it's a bit of $$$
