@sreeramsnair could be an issue with the power board or the power to the panel. You will need to check the power connector to the mainboard and see if the voltages are all as listed on the board. We would need to see your boards. Post some good clear well focused images of your boards with your Question.
Also, Sony requires a firmware update with some of their boards. If you can go into your settings and see if you can determine which firmware/software version your TV is.

@sreeramsnair I just noticed the number on your replacement T-con board. In order to use it, you will have to block off the last 14pins on the connector. Take a piece of tape and apply that over the last 14 pins of the cable. That way it can't make contact and should not work as it is supposed to. If the 5 Blink error on your TV is the T-con board.

Do not apply the old metal shielding over the T-con board. It will not fit and it will shorten out your board. You need to find an alternative way of mounting it. I use Velcro on some of my fixes. Check this guide [guide|17330] step 14 to see what I mean.
