Verimed Myoexerciser II functions not responding

Hello,

I have Verimed EMG (Myoexerciser II) that will turn on, but I the Mode, Sensitivity or Goal function will not engage, I cannot make any changes.  Also, when I press start, it's as if the EMG is being used / redlined for the current setting.  It also seems that some lettering is not displaying on the screen.
