Why does my laptop not charge?

3 hours ago I noticed my laptop (ASUS UX303L) isn’t charging when I plugged it in. I checked the charger cable and the socket and didn’t seem to have a problem with either, so I assume it is my computer that’s the problem. It is stuck at 0% and keeps shutting down by itself.
