I fixed the ghosting an auto Ipad by removing the plastic screen protector on it after tried everything else. I remember there was some residual affects even after removal for a while, then It worked well again.  Must be static electricity from srceen protector.  I would not use anything to protect your screen other than glass. I hope this helps.
