Unable to Read Sd card

Bought this S800 new. Figured the unable to Read Sd card was a bad card. Tried several cards. Same error. Put it to the side and now years later picked up the Nikon again. Good specs. Tried again. Should have returned for replacement years ago. Any suggestions? Sd card I tried fat file system and ntfs. Must be a bad reader.
