I have a MacBook keyboard in hand EMC 2242 2.4 Ghz that I replaced. The keyboard is riveted in place with melted plastic. There's no way you could just put a keyboard in without totally destroying it. I pretty sure this is the unibody model. I looked up the A1181 keyboard and there are seven different models. http://www.ifixit.com/Mac-Parts/MacBook-13%22 To tell you anything better I need the EMC number of your MacBook

is integrated into the top case assembly on the MacBook, and is not available as a separate part. The upper case assembly includes the trackpad as well.

There are two versions of the MacBook top case assembly. The newer Santa Rosa model MacBooks have different symbols on the function keys and other keys. For example, the keys next to the spacebar do not have an Apple logo on the Santa Rosa models as they did on the earlier MacBook models.

The newer Santa Rosa MacBook
keyboard wizard that will work on the earlier model MacBooks as well provided Mac OS 10.4.11 or higher is installedhelp identify what you need.
