It’s a nightmare. Luckily I do most of my work on my home iMac,— the laptop is primarily for uploading and editing photos when I travel, and scheduling clients while in my office. Even then it has driven me crazy. I was at the Apple store yesterday looking at the new and “improved” MacBook Pro, and asked the salesperson about the trackpad issue. He claimed to have never heard of it. Anyhow, I don’t think there will ever be a fix except turning it off altogether and using a mouse, which I don’t intend to do. Will hang onto this one for as long as it lasts unless I weaken and do a trade in. Truth is these MacBooks last ay longer than any PC laptop my husband gets. Shame about the trackpad.
