Battery could have discharged too far.  Recommendation is to get the wheels spinning for 10-15 minutes (they even go as far as saying to be pulled behind on bike) at roughly 10MPH. Check your remote to ensure it gets a little bit of a charge then try charging again.

I'm not sure what type of batteries these run but if they are LiPo, if not stored properly it can cause issues.
