Hi Arlei. I, too, had this problem and got sick of using tape to keep the dust cup closed. Fortunately, I kept the spring. First, you have to get the little orange clip off. Easier said than done. It takes brute force, but be careful you do not break off the little bumps on the side of the clip and that you do not break the clear housing. On the inside of the orange clip is a raised “x”; and the clear housing has a small round cup on the inside. The spring goes over the “x” and will actually stay there. Then the spring is centred into the round cup on the housing and you push the clip into the housing. You have to do this carefully and make sure both bumps go in place at the same time. It took me a few tries, but I finally got it. It is now good as new. I hope this helps, Arlei. I hate being thought of as the incompetent “little woman” who cannot fix something reasonable simple.
