I also had this problem with my Samsung 50inch  and I changed the power supply capacitors; did not fix.

Checked input voltage  120vac,but when I plugged in the connector the voltage dropped to 55vac.

Checked zener diode VX801S and resistor RX801S(750K) , both were bad. Changed and the problem was fixed.
