Hi, Connect an external USB keyboard to the laptop and see how it performs. If it is OK and it is determined that there is a problem with the laptop's keyboard it is preferable to replace it rather than trying to fix. You can cause more problems than what you had before when trying to fix it. Here is a link to the service manual for your laptop. http://www.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01689926.pdf Scroll to p.57 onward to view the necessary pre-requisites and then the procedure to remove the Switch Cover and the Keyboard. Also on this page is the part number for the various types of keyboards available for this model. Take heed of the ''Note'' on this page. To find suppliers of the part, search online using just the part number ''only'' to find suppliers of the part. As an example of what I mean here is how to find suppliers of a white keyboard for the USA [image|1037854] [image|1037855] (click on images to enlarge for better viewing) Hopefully this is of some help.
