The problem with e-74 is very similar to the RROD. Instead of the solder joints being messed up in the GPU or CPU, it isit's the solder joints on the HANA chip which is thechip—the small black chip behind the GPU (closer to the fans). To fix this you can try to [https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Reflowing+Xbox+360+Motherboard/5845|reflow|new_window=trueguide|5845|reflow|new_window=true] the solder by heating the chip up to roughly 217 C for 20-30 seconds (best done with a thermocouple type thermometer to monitor the actual temp of the board) then letting the board sit for 30 minminutes to completely cool down thendown. When you reassemble applyingthe Xbox, apply fresh thermal paste to the GPU and CPU. use the guides above for teardown. iI would not worry about doing the xclamp fix b/cX-clamp fix, since your problem is not with the GPU or the CPU.
