Does the rev number matter on the usb ribbon cable

Replaced the usb ribbon cable on my Tab 3 p5210 and now my home button doesn't work it's connected up just fine played with the ribbon connection. Don't have the old cable to compare revision numbers but replaced it with a 1.0
