Desolder the existing card reader by use of a heat gun. Then you will use a solder iron to clean up the 6 pads. I use desolder alloy to coat the pads and once the pads are dressed up I reinstall new sim card reader and using a heat gun on low heat melt the reader into place, use a little no clean flux to aid in the solder flow. Make sure to use a good 63/37 solder to anchor the 4 mounting pads. The desolder alloy is electrically conductive and has a very low melting point so you will not damage other components with to much heat, but is very brittle and needs the lead solder to make it hold better. I charge $60 for this repair.
