Instagram is my favorite little repair bubble on iFixit. It’s also our fastest growing social community. In the last year, more than 10,000 people joined iFixit on Instagram. Lots of those people shared their best repair pictures with us, so we could share them with everyone else.
Sharing their work is one of the best parts of my job. I’ve “met” all different types of people this year on Instagram, from professionals to hobbyists to first-timers. Every image they share with us is a story. A victory. You can tell people are proud of the work they’ve done in the pictures people share with us—and I hope those moments can inspire other people to pick up a screwdriver and fix their coffee machine. Or their phone. Or their skateboard.
I’ve shared almost 300 pictures this year on Instagram. Many of them were reposts from other accounts. Some of them were my own. Here’s a few of my favorite images of the year. I hope you find them half as inspiring as I do:

Happy Fixing! (And picture taking).
