Se volete riparare uno strappo su un paio di jeans in modo rapido e semplice, optate per una toppa termoadesiva. È facile da usare (come riparare la camera d'aria di una bicicletta) e dura a lungo. Fate però attenzione a comprare una toppa che riporti chiaramente la dicitura "termoadesiva".

Esaminare lo strappo – tagliare i fili tutt'intorno e togliere eventuali pezzetti di tessuto.

Prendere la toppa termoadesiva.

Girare al rovescio la gamba dei jeans.

Cercare di rimuovere delicatamente il pezzo di tessuto dall'interno della gamba.

Se si stacca, rimuoverlo del tutto ed eliminarlo.

Se invece ha aderito alla toppa, tagliare semplicemente con le forbici la parte di tessuto in eccesso, lasciando solo il pezzo attaccato alla toppa.

This is useful, but I hope we can see more. In particular, my kids have many holes in polar fleece pants that they love. You can't do an iron-on patch with fleece (the synthetic fiber can't take the heat), and sewing on a patch doesn't seem like a great idea since the material is stretchier than the patch. Does Patagonia have advice on how to repair these?

Instead of a scrap piece of denim, I put another patch on the inside and iron them together.
Nice instructions for patching jeans, but need a video on how to patch a hole in a fleece jacket. Guessing we can't just put a denim patch on fleece material, as ironing would melt the fleece. Would love suggestions.
