This guide will show you how to remove the LCD screen off the Casio Camera.

Remove the side two screws on the side with the speaker, on the portion of the camera that is part of the back casing.

  • Label screws (where they came from and what step) and set aside in sorting tray.

Remove the two back screws on the bottom of the camera, on the same side as the LCD screen. Note: Bottom screws are longer than the top ones, so label accordingly for ease in  reassembly. (See attached picture.)

Once all screws have been removed, gently pry open bottom casing. With tweezers, carefully remove ribbon from LCD screen- NOT from the back casing itself.

  • Set bottom casing aside.

  • Navigation button may fall out. Be cautious of this and set aside if needed.

Lift up LCD screen. Slowly move it to the other side.

Flip open the connector holding the ribbon. Pull out the LCD screen with the ribbon from the camera. THIS STEP IS ONE WHERE YOU SHOULD USE CAUTION AND BE VERY GENTLE!

Your LCD screen is now detached. Locate your replacement screen that you will now attach.

Reconnect LCD ribbon to connector and flip back down.

  • Ribbon should be inserted straight in and to the right side.

Reattach LCD casing.

Reattach the back casing as well as the small ribbon with it to the camera body. Be careful reattaching the case. Using tweezers might help.

Locate labeled screws from Step 2-bottom of the camera.
