  • Grip the upper edge of the key pad--the white hinge beneath the key cap of the key--with your flat nose pliers.

  • With the edge of the key pad pinched firmly in your pliers, gently pull up with your pliers until the top left and right corners of the key pad pop out of place.

  • Still holding the key pad with your pliers, slide the key pad towards the bottom of the key panel until the bottom of the key pad slides out of its hinge.
