Unscrew the back cover

Be sure to completely power off and unplug your laptop before you begin your repair. Make sure the laptop is not in standby, sleep, or hibernation mode.
Use a T5 driver to remove the following screws securing the back cover:
Six 4 mm-long screws
Two 7.8 mm-long screws
