Separate the bottom edge adhesive

  • Apply a suction cup to the back of the phone, as close to the center of the bottom edge as possible.

  • If your display is badly cracked, covering it with a layer of clear packing tape may allow the suction cup to adhere. Alternatively, very strong tape may be used instead of the suction cup. If all else fails, you can superglue the suction cup to the broken glass.

  • Pull on the suction cup with strong, steady force to create a gap between the back cover and the frame.

  • Insert the point of an opening pick into the gap.

  • Due to tight tolerances, this may take multiple attempts of reheating with the iOpener and separating with the suction cup before you get it right.

  • If you are having trouble creating a gap, apply more heat to the edge and try again.

  • Do not apply excessive force with the pick, or you risk cracking the back cover glass.

Separa l'adesivo del bordo inferiore

Fai aderire una ventosa alla cover posteriore del telefono il più possibile vicino del bordo inferiore, in centro.

Se la cover posteriore è particolarmente crepata, applicare del nastro adesivo trasparente può aiutare la ventosa a fare presa. In alternativa puoi usare del nastro adesivo tenace al posto della ventosa. Se ancora hai problemi, puoi provare ad usare della supercolla (cianoacrilica) per incollare la ventosa al vetro rotto.

Tira la ventosa verso l'alto con forza costante per creare una fessura tra la cover e il telaio.

Infila la punta di un plettro nella fessura.

A causa della tolleranza minima questo passaggio può richiedere più tentativi di riscaldamento con l'iOpener e separazione con la ventosa prima della sua riuscita.

Se stai avendo problemi a creare la fessura, scalda ulteriormente il bordo e prova ancora.

Non usare troppa forza con il plettro: rischieresti di rompere il vetro della cover posteriore.
