Separate the bottom edge adhesive

  • Apply a suction cup to the back of the phone, as close to the center of the bottom edge as possible.

  • If your display is badly cracked, covering it with a layer of clear packing tape may allow the suction cup to adhere. Alternatively, very strong tape may be used instead of the suction cup. If all else fails, you can superglue the suction cup to the broken glass.

  • Pull on the suction cup with strong, steady force to create a gap between the back cover and the frame.

  • Insert the point of an opening pick into the gap.

  • Due to tight tolerances, this may take multiple attempts of reheating with the iOpener and separating with the suction cup before you get it right.

  • If you are having trouble creating a gap, apply more heat to the edge and try again.

  • Do not apply excessive force with the pick, or you risk cracking the back cover glass.

Décoller le bord inférieur

Posez une ventouse au dos du téléphone, aussi près que possible du bord inférieu, au milieu.

Si votre écran est méchamment fissuré, recouvrez-le d'une couche de ruban adhésif d'emballage transparent pour que la ventouse puisse adhérer. Ou bien servez-vous d'un morceau de ruban adhésif épais à la place de la ventouse. Si aucune de ces options ne marche, collez la ventouse sur l'écran cassé avec de la superglue.

Tirez fermement et constamment sur la ventouse pour ouvrir un espace entre la coque arrière et le châssis.

Insérez la pointe d'un médiator dans l'espace.

Il n'y a pas beaucoup de jeu, donc il faudra peut-être recommencer plusieurs fois à chauffer avec l'iOpener et tirer avec la ventouse avant d'y arriver.

Si vous avez du mal à ouvrir l'espace, refaites chauffer le bord et recommencez.

Ne forcez pas avec le médiator, vous risqueriez de fissurer la vitre arrière.
