Introduzione

Usa questa guida per rimuovere e sostituire la batteria del tuo iPad Mini 2 Wi-Fi+Cellular.

Se la batteria è gonfia, prendi adeguate precauzioni.

Parti di questa guida sono state scattate con un modello Wi-Fi e come tali gli interni potrebbero apparire leggermente diversi dal modello Wi-Fi+Cellular. La procedura è la stessa per entrambi i modelli tranne dove diversamente indicato.

    • If your display glass is cracked, keep further breakage contained and prevent bodily harm during your repair by taping the glass.

    • Lay overlapping strips of clear packing tape over the iPad's display until the whole face is covered.

    • This will keep glass shards contained and provide structural integrity when prying and lifting the display.

    • Do your best to follow the rest of the guide as described. However, once the glass is broken, it will likely continue to crack as you work, and you may need to use a metal prying tool to scoop the glass out.

    • Wear safety glasses to protect your eyes, and be careful not to damage the LCD screen.

    • Carefully place a suction cup halfway up the heated side.

    • Be sure the cup is completely flat on the screen to get a tight seal.

    • While holding the iPad down with one hand, pull up on the suction cup to slightly separate the front panel glass from from the rear case.

    • Be careful to only lift the glass enough to insert an opening pick—any more and you risk cracking the glass.

    • If you encounter a significant amount of resistance, stop twisting. Leave the picks in place, reheat, and reapply the iOpener to the problem areas, and run a pick through the sticking point one more time.

This guide is clearly not for the LTE version. There’s no mention of the antenna cable on the top right that I cut because I didn’t know it was there. Also no mention of properly cleaning the old adhesive and installing the new adhesive strips. This guide is only half complete

Great guide. Was able to successfully perform a battery swap for a customer. One minor critique: Step 43 is to remove the LCD, then step 44 starts the process to remove the battery. But there are no instructions to remove the digitizer. It’s a small step to remove the digitizer ribbon, but it’s omission did cause me some minor confusion and had me second guessing myself for a few seconds.
