Asus Vivobook Max X541SA-PD0703X Keyboard Replacement

This guide will provide instructions on how to access the interior parts of the Asus Vivobook Max X541SA-PD0703X and replace the keyboard.

This guide will show you how to replace the keyboard of your Asus Vivobook Max X541SA-PD0703X. In order to replace the keyboard, you will have to remove the track pad.

Passo 1 Keyboard  ¶ 

Flip the laptop upside down so that the back of the laptop faces you.

Remove the following ten Phillips #0 screws from the bottom of the laptop:

  • Remove the following ten Phillips #0 screws from the bottom of the laptop:

  • Six 13mm screws.

  • Four 11mm screws.

Passo 3  ¶ 

Using a plastic opening tool, pry up the palm rest form the bottom half of the laptop. Ribbon cables connect the two half so don't remove completely.

Use a spudger to flip up the retaining flap on the keyboard ribbon cable ZIF sockets. Pull the ribbon cables out of their sockets. Pull the ribbon cables out of their sockets.

  • Pull the ribbon cables out of their sockets.

Passo 5  ¶ 

Take the keyboard half of the laptop and place it in front of you so that they keys are facing down.

Remove the three 3mm Phillips #0 screws from the touchpad.

  • Remove the three 3mm Phillips #0 screws from the touchpad.

Passo 7  ¶ 

Use a spudger to flip up the retaining flap on the touch pad ribbon cable ZIF socket.

  • Pull the ribbon out of the socket.

Passo 8  ¶ 

Remove the touchpad. Remove the touchpad.
