Introduzione

This guide will show you how to remove the motherboard from your Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra. The motherboard may need to be replaced if basic functions of the phone no longer run. A heat gun or hairdryer is needed to open the back panel, which can become hot and potentially damage the phone. Additonally, a T5 screwdriver is needed to remove screws while a spudger is needed to disconnect parts of the phone.

  1. Wedge your finger under the bottom ridge of the SD card insert.
    • Wedge your finger under the bottom ridge of the SD card insert.

    • Pull outwards with your fingers to remove the SD card from the left side of device.

How do you remove it? (Seems obvious but write for any audience, and say how to do things instead of just what to do)

  2. Use a hair dryer to heat each corner of the phone.
    • Use a hair dryer to heat each corner of the phone.

    • Alternate heating each corner for a minute to loosen the adhesive binding the back cover to the phone.

    • Don't heat one area for too long; the phone may get damaged from overheating.

Consider saying “loosen” instead of “soften” so that steps 2 and 3 use the same terms. Somebody may not know that heating the glue will loosen it, and so they will be confused reading “once the adhesive is loosened” in step 3.

    • Press a suction cup on a heated corner of the device.

    • Hold the phone down and gently lift the suction cup to create a small gap.

    • You may hear crunching or popping sounds when you lift up the back cover.

    Period missing for first point.

    • Slide your plastic card along the side of your phone to loosen the adhesive.

    • Move the card along the sides of the phone to lift all of the corners.

Can you clarify what should be repeated in this step?

    • Use the iFixit Opening Tool to remove the flexible orange strip which connects the battery to the motherboard.

Grammar, consider rewording. “Use the iFixit Opening Tool to remove the flexible orange strip which is connected to the battery from the motherboard” or “Use the iFixit Opening Tool to remove the flexible orange strip which connects the battery to the motherboard” or another alternative depending on your intended meaning.

    • The antenna module may be difficult to remove.

    Tiffany Dang - Replica

Could use better explanation on how to take off

    Tiffany Dang - Replica

“to take off piece” change to take off the piece? Or even be specific, “pull with your hands to remove the module.”

    • Insert your iFixit Opening Tool underneath the front camera and gently lift up.

    • Remove the front camera by lifting the front camera up with your hands.
