There was a spring that popped out at this step and can’t figure out how or where it goes too??

Tried putting it in the foot switch and reinstalled vacuum but switch didn’t work?

Same thing happened to still have spring and assembled leaving it out and motor will not start

    Ed Hungness - Replica

Ok, finally fixed. Putting the little spring back is key. Suggestion: the lay the white top upside down on table, drop spring into tube where it goes then reassemble in upside down position so spring doesn’t fall putting vacuum back together,

Try amazon…replacement belt for shark navigator freestyle cordless vacuum

I got the belt from http://shop.polybelt.com/ It is item B148-2M-04BNG . You have to buy 3 to get to $9.99 and then they tack on another $10 for shipping, but this was the only place I could find them. Replaced it and it seems to be working ok.

The brush stops tolling after a few seconds. How do I trouble shoot this?

Peter Fogler - Replica

Same happens to me. I took it all apart; there was not much hair in the mechanisms at all, and the belt is not broken so I don't see the need to replace it. I am at a loss as to what I should do next.

Same problem for me. Not a happy camper after spending money and time to have the same problem.

Hi Pete, I found by removing the roller brush, you will be able to remove accumulated hair strands around the brush and related bearings. Having problems finding the 2mm x 148 belt. however it looks like “rmagnus” hit pay dirt through shop.polybelt.com. I’ll give that a shot.

Good luck.

I wish you could mention the spring…

Diane Yoder - Replica

The spring goes in the long screw hole in the top cover.

Google search of model # reveals several sources for belts. Most from China requiring 4 week wait.

I followed the instructions (which are great) and got it apart and replaced the belt. Put it back together and it will not turn on. Been charging for awhile. Is there something I did wrong when I put it back together?

My 14.4 version of the freestyle will not run if the upper assembly is attached. When turned on the roller motor runs for 2 seconds and then shuts off. Is the Suction motor in the handle dead? There are no clogs or tangles. Again…when the handle is detached the brush motor runs.but shuts of in 2 seconds. The suction motor does not start.

I wish you had mentioned the spring, I didn’t see where it came from.

I need the part that is above the belt on left side.

Hello:

I just replaced the belt today in this vacuum, this tutorial was awesome & helpful. When putting it all back together a spring fell out and I have no idea where it might go, so I thought I’d inquire and see if you can provide any insight. It’s 1 3/4 in. long and resembles a spring you would find in a pen, but it’s smaller in diameter. Any help would be much appreciated.

Shannon Quinlan - Replica

Follow up to previous post…deductive reasoning told me that spring likely went into the hole connected to the on/off button. It fit in the hole so that’s were I left it! I put it all back together…and it low and behold started!! So I hope my guess was correct…if it wasn’t, oh well…it worked!! Haha!!

Shannon Quinlan - Replica

I too replaced the belt, and tolling is not happening… anyone have answers?

bohlke_ks - Replica

The belt may not be broken but warn down so it slips and doesn’t turn the brush. You can buy them on Amazon in packs of 2
