  1. Use a #0 Phillips head screwdriver to remove the four small black screws from the back of the device.

    • To ensure you don't lose any tiny parts during the replacement process, place parts on the white magnetic sheet.

    • Once the screws have been removed, proceed to take off back cover.

    • Now gently pry the front cover off. A Black Spudger can be used to assist in the removal of the cover.

    • Gently separate the mainboard from the battery housing. This may be difficult around the headphone jack. Use a spudger if necessary.

    • Pull the motherboard out and down away from the top of the phone.

    • Peel off the small foam rectangle on the back of the mainboard and set to the side.

    • Peel off the black tape and set off to the side.

    • Gently pry up the memory chip and replace it with the new one.
