PlayStation Power Supply Replacement

Cosa ti serve

  1. PlayStation Power Supply Replacement, Open the Console: passo 1, immagine 1 di 1
    • Before you begin, make sure the console is turned off and unplugged.

    • Turn the console upside down and remove the five 15.8 mm-long Phillips #1 screws.

    • While holding the top and bottom halves of the console together, flip the console back over. Lift the top cover straight up to remove it.

  3. PlayStation Power Supply Replacement, Power Supply: passo 3, immagine 1 di 1
    • Remove the two screws securing the power supply to the console.

  4. PlayStation Power Supply Replacement: passo 4, immagine 1 di 1
    • Detach the connector from the power supply.

  5. PlayStation Power Supply Replacement: passo 5, immagine 1 di 1
    • Lift up the left side of the power supply. Slide it to the left to remove it.

Conclusione

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

Since working with the power supply, it's wise to state in writing to disconnect the AC cord, in addition to showing it disconnected as you have.

im done removing the power supply so whats next???btw i accidentally plugged my ps1 110v to 220v how to fix that issue???

Before anything unplug your PlayStation and try the power button couple a times to turn on the PlayStation.

Just check the fuse with a multimeter. It is a cylindrical tube with metal on it’s two corners. The easy way is to check continuity with a mutimeter which is a symbol with a speaker on it. Touch red and black probes and you will hear a beep. Connect the two ends of the fuse and if it beeps then fuse is ok. You can even check it while fuse is on the board. If ok and PlayStation is not working then there is a problem somewhere else on the power board, mostly…
