Remove all five screws on the downside of the PS2 Slimline
Underneath the "Do not remove" sticker, there will be one last screw

Using a metal spudger, carefully pry open the chassis
Although a metal spudger is used in the tutorial, it is recommended to use plastic spudgers with most electronics as metal on metal can short circuts

Locate the battery on the motherboard. The battery will be a CR2032 Button Cell Battery
Carefully use a metal spudger to pull the battery out of the metal housing
Once the battery is fully removed, remove the connector upwards from the motherboard
The connector does not have any clips and can be easily removed and pushed back in with reassembly/disassembly
