Nintendo Super Famicom SHVC-001 Sound Card Replacement

With this guide, we will give you steps to replace the sound chip inside of the device to reconcile your audio problems. You will need a Gamebit screwdriver and a Phillips screwdriver. Happy Fixing!

    • Remove the six 13.5 mm screws on the lower case with a 4.5 mm Gamebit screwdriver.

    • Flip the Famicom over and set it down.

    • Lift off the upper case.

    • Remove the two 15.6 mm Phillips screws that secure the sound card.

    • Lift the sound card up and out of the chassis.
