Hello

In Step 5 you indicate to remove the screws in the red circles, what about the ribbon cables below the central red-circled screws? Those ribbon cables seem to connect the screen to the motherboard.

Best regards

It's like this company started as a passionate team who wanted to be the first to present fool-proof instructions how to repair your own device and now everyone's like slacking off and got bored. Why not describe the first thing we're removing? Why are you no longer giving the screw dimensions? Why are you skipping steps? Where is the LCD cable? Where is pretty white background? Why is this guide not on the A1706 main page?

I agree.

What about required tools? Seems like even the basics are missing or lacking.

I’m looking for the same info. To be fair to iFixit, this is a community member’s post from what I can tell, not iFixit’s own.

What is the exact P2 bit you need to remove the 12 screws holding the antenna bar? I ordered a P2 bit on Amazon that says it’s 0.8mm P2 bit and it’s too big. Not sure if they shipped me the wrong one or what. Been trying to find out exactly what bit to use and no luck so far.
