  17. Use the ipod opening tool to pry the screen casing and the slider mechanism apart from each other.

  18. Carefully lift the slider mechanism to see the ribbon cables underneath.

  19. Slide ribbon cable through the slider mechanism.

  20. Separate the two halves.

  21. With the screen casing separated from the slider mechanism the camera circuit board is visible.

    • Carefully lift up on the connector to unplug it from the circuit board.

  22. Lift up slowly on the connector cable to peel the camera off the adhesive backing.
