Cosa ti serve

  1. Honda CR-V Headlight Replacement, Headlight: passo 1, immagine 1 di 1
    • Go to your local auto shop and ask them to look up which headlights you will need for your specific car. They will give you the correct bulb and handling instructions.

  2. Honda CR-V Headlight Replacement: passo 2, immagine 1 di 1
    • Put on your gloves and open the hood of the car.

    • Locate the black plug directly behind your headlight.

  3. Honda CR-V Headlight Replacement: passo 3, immagine 1 di 1
    • After the plug is moved aside, locate the black cover that protects the bulb from any debris. My headlights are over 8 years old so I needed pliers to remove the cover since it was crusted onto the surrounding area.

    • Pliers are optional.

    • Pull the cover off and set it aside.

  4. Honda CR-V Headlight Replacement: passo 4, immagine 1 di 1
    • Once the cover is off, the bulb will come out right into your hand.

    • Be careful not to touch the glass as it needs to stay perfectly clean in order to work properly.

    • Replace with a new bulb.

  5. Honda CR-V Headlight Replacement: passo 5, immagine 1 di 1
    • Put your cover back into place to protect the bulb from weathering. Then, put the plug back inside to reconnect your headlights.

  6. Honda CR-V Headlight Replacement: passo 6, immagine 1 di 1
    • When everything is finished it should look similar to this! Once you put the hood down, turn on your car and inspect the lights to make sure that they are functioning properly.

Haven’t done the repair yet BUT These instructions look very clear and concise with good illustrations. I detest having to go to U tube instructions!!

I don’t happen to have a computer screen with me when I work on my car.

Instructions are vague, it doesn’t tell you about clip that holds bulb in place, which needs to be pushed in and moved to the side. That is the most difficult part, getting clip in proper position to release bulb, especially when you cannot see it. Referring to 2005-6 models.

2011 drivers side if you need more room you can release the fuse box from where it is attached to the metal bracket and move it somewhat out of the way. Took less than 15 minutes start to finish. Hope that helps. A YouTube video titled for bulb replacement showed removing bumper to free up headlight assembly to get at the bulbs. Overkill for the bulb but great video for replacement assembly.
