Questa guida ti mostrerà la procedura per eseguire un back up del disco rigido originale, per installarne uno nuovo e per ripristinare i dati dal back up (In modo da non perdere i tuoi trofei e salvataggi.).

Quando accendi la PS3 la prima volta, dovrai formattare il nuovo disco rigido.

Potresti vedere un messaggio simile a "Il sistema operativo non può essere eseguito correttamente...Inserisci un supporto di memoria contenente l'aggiornamento alla versione 4.11 o successive, quindi premi START e SELECT insieme...".

Se stai cercando di ripristinare un back up sul tuo nuovo disco rigido e, dopo aver seguito i passaggi nel messaggio precedente, ricevi il messaggio simile a "I dati sono corrotti (8002F225)", probabilmente dovrai scaricare l'ultimo aggiornamento software dell PS3 dal sito ufficiale PlayStation prima che il sistema possa formattare il nuovo disco.

Premi "X" e continua fino a che la formattazione viene completata.

Dopo aver completato la formattazione, vai in "impostazioni" nella XMB e seleziona "Impostazioni del Sistema", quindi "Informazioni sul Sistema.

Ora, per ripristinare i tuoi dati dal back up, collega il tuo disco rigido esterno che hai usato per effettuare il back up.

Vai in "Impostazioni" nella XMB, seleziona "Impostazioni del Sistema" e quindi "Utilità di Backup".

Seleziona "Ripristina" e quindi seleziona il dispositivo USB che contiene il tuo back up dei dati.

Dovresti avere solo un dispositivo da scegliere.

La PS3 riformatterà il disco rigido e copierà il back up. Questa procedura può durare fino a 2 ore.

i power my ps3 up after installing new hard drive, and the screen says that "no applicable update data was found. Connect storage media that contains update data of version 3.66 or later, and then press START and SELECT buttons at the same time"
where do i go next? i have all my previous data backed up on a WD 500GB usb hard drive.
what should i do next?
Did you create the HD backup using the PS3?

did you ever get that issue fixed?? If so what did you do?? Mine is saying the same exact thing but it is version 4.66......
A bit of a late answer, but it might be useful for for visitors having this problem now.
You can fix this problem and update the ps3 by using a fat32 formatted usb stick/external hard drive with the PS3UPDAT.PUP data from the Playstation website at https://www.playstation.com/en-us/suppor... stored in the file layout PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDATE.PUP
Then plug the usb stick in to your ps3 and press start and select. This should trigger the formatting procedure and afterwards update the ps3.
