Introduzione

This guide will go through the steps to replace the speakers if the audio is distorted or the sounds is not working.

  1. Unplug laptop  from adapter and all other devices.
    • Unplug laptop from adapter and all other devices.

  2. Flip the laptop over with battery facing you.
    • Flip the laptop over with battery facing you.

  3. Slide the battery lock on the right side open. Slide the Battery release latch on the left side.
    • Slide the battery lock on the right side open.

    • Slide the Battery release latch on the left side.

  4. Pull battery out.
    • Pull battery out.

  5. Remove the two 6.5mm Phillips #1 keyboard screws from bottom of laptop.
    • Remove the two 6.5mm Phillips #1 keyboard screws from bottom of laptop.

  6. Push screwdriver through screw hole top  pop the keyboard.
    • Push screwdriver through screw hole top pop the keyboard.

    • Make sure the screen is open.

  7. Pry up the keyboard.
    • Pry up the keyboard.

    • The keyboard is still attached by it's ribbon.

  8. Remove keyboard  wire  by popping latch under blue  plastic

  9. Using the spudger to lift up on the white  tabs
    • Using the spudger to lift up on the white tabs

    • Pull horizontally on the blue ribbon to disconnect the cables

  10. Remove the five 5.5mm Phillips #1 screws from the case
    • Remove the five 5.5mm Phillips #1 screws from the case

  11. Remove eight 6.5mm Phillips #1 screws from the back cover
    • Remove eight 6.5mm Phillips #1 screws from the back cover

  12. Starting at a top corner, use the pry tool to split the case. Slowly work around the case, pulling up gently to release the clips. Slowly work around the case, pulling up gently to release the clips.

  13. Disconnect motherboard cable from left side USB and jacks Disconnect motherboard cable from left side USB and jacks
    • Disconnect motherboard cable from left side USB and jacks

  14. Remove the six 5.5mm Phillips #1 motherboard screws
    • Remove the six 5.5mm Phillips #1 motherboard screws

    • Remove the one 3.5mm Phillips #1 screw from the WiFi chip

  15. Remove motherboard.
    • Remove motherboard.

  16. Use a  plastic opening tool to carefully  remove the right speaker. Repeat this step for the left speaker. Repeat this step for the left speaker.
    • Use a plastic opening tool to carefully remove the right speaker.

    • Repeat this step for the left speaker.

Conclusione

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
