Eton FRX5-BT Case Disassembly

Introduzione

This guide details how to open the Eton FRX5-BT case, to preform repair tasks on its internals.

Cosa ti serve

    • Press on the left most side on the small plastic cap on the back of the radio (it is loosely glued in place).

    • When the plastic cap comes loose, remove it completely to access the lock mechanism below.

    • Slide the lock mechanism all the way to the left. Now the solar panel is no longer locked in place.

    • Remove the solar panel, by lifting it on the top part. You can use a suction cup or carefully tilt the device when it's in an upright position.

    • Be mindful on the wire connecting the solar panel to the rest of the device.

    • Remove the six 2.5mm Hex screws.

    • Pull the two halves of the device case apart.

    • There are no wires connecting the two parts of the case, but the solar panel wire goes through a hole in the back case and connects it to the rest of the device.
