When taking off the plastic protection, make sure not to bend the metal parts of the plastic because it will be difficult to put back into place. For this guide you will need a plastic opening tool and a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

On my laptop there was a small curved metal bracket that sat in the very corner of the PC covering one corner of the hard drive. That had to be removed by loosening a screw and gently prying the bar out before the hard drive could be removed.
