  • Close the display and turn the computer over

Remove the screws that secure the base cover to the computer base.

  • Using a plastic scribe (plastic opening tool), pry the base cover off the computer base.

  • Loosen and then unplug the hard drive cable.

  • Remove 2 M2 3mm screws, using the Phillips 1 screwdriver.

  • Remove the battery.

  • Pry open the clips and remove the RAM.

  • Unplug the daughter board cable in two places marked in red, then remove it.

  • Unplug the fan cable marked in orange.

  • Remove 1 MR 3mm screw, using the Phillips 1 screwdriver, on the cooling fan.

  • Remove 1 M2 2mm wafer screw, using the Phillips 1 screwdriver, on the cooling fan.

  • Remove the cooling fan.

  • Remove 3 M2 2mm screws, using the Phillips 0 screwdriver, on the heat sink.

  • Remove the heat sink.

  • Remove 2 M2 3mm bracket screws, using the Phillips 1 screwdriver, on the LCD cable bracket.

  • Remove the LCD cable bracket.

  • Unplug the LCD cable.

  • Unplug the touchscreen cable.

  • Unplug the DC Jack cable.

  • Unplug the speaker cable.

  • Be gentle and slow when loosening the keyboard cable tape.

  • Loosen the top of the keyboard tape.

  • Loosen the keyboard cable latches with a screwdriver for easier access.

  • Unplug the keyboard cable.

  • Unplug the touchpad cable.

  • Unplug the keyboard backlight cable.

  • Remove 1 M2 2mm wafer screw, using the Phillips 1 screwdriver, from the motherboard.

  • Remove the motherboard.
