Pull back the six screw covers on the bottom of the device.

Starting from the screw covers, peel the casing away from the bottom plate.

Where do you get a replacement battery & what kind is it exactly please?
Of course the “guide” wouldn’t give the pertinent information (detailed replacement battery size) needed to actually complete the task at hand….
Had to look all over for this info but this is apparently the right stuff: The battery is a 3.7 V CR18650 (be sure you get at least 2200mAH) and is available from Amazon for around 4/$30. Alternatively,, you could also go to any Home Depot and take a discarded power/driver battery pack out of the recycling bin (the sales people have no problem). Take it home, open it up, and there you have upwards of 12 of these very same batteries inside, and usually 10 out of the twelve are perfectly good. People throw them out/recycle them when one or two cells go bad and the pack can recharge. (Big Thanks to YouTube user R. Sauder for this info.)
