If the reverse light in your 2008-2011 Saab 9-3 is broken, dim, or dull, use this guide to replace the bulb. It's important to note that if one reverse light goes out, the other one will probably go out soon, so it's best to replace both at the same time.

Press the button on the key fob or on the front driver-side door to open the trunk of your car.
Make sure the trunk lid is open all of the way to avoid being hit.

Use a screwdriver to press down on the center of the trunk lining fasteners.
Remove the fasteners.
Any screwdriver will work, as the fasteners only needs to be pushed to release them. No screws require removal.

Gently pull down on the trunk lining to access the light socket.
You may need a second pair of hands to help hold down the lining unless all fasteners are removed. If not, the lining will naturally return to its original position.
