Data recovery from smashed phone

Hey guy,

So the other day I got into a car and my phone slipped out of my pocket and I closed the door on it. The top right corner of the back plate has bent away from the screen and the phone is no longer responsive. It had a white led until I took the simcard out and now nothing. Plugging into a laptop shows nothing and no power indication.

I will take the phone to a repair shop, but I can understand if its destroyed beyond repair. I basically just want to know what kind of data recovery is available as whats on there is very valuable. Thanks a bunch in advance.
