If my U2 IC Chip is broken, does charging the phone damage it more?
Does charging the phone while having a broken u2ic chip make the problem worse?

I am surprised that it would still power on with a "Broken" U2 IC. Is it physically broken or do you just think it may be? What are the symptoms you are having>

Battery draining after it charges, random battery drain with a new battery
to eliminate the charging circuit you should use a multi meter to measure for charging voltage at battery connector...but sounds like either bad battery, charging port or Tigress/or U2.
